Hi! Thanks for stopping by! If you are on this website, I am assuming you are a recent adult, or potentially a certified adult who is interested in learning about exploring a variety of life’s avenues. Regardless, I hope that you gained some valuable information while perusing the articles.

For some context as to the creation of this site, I am currently a college student at a California State University, I am married, and I work full time. Prior to enrolling at Cal State, I went to 3 different community colleges. It took me a year of dual enrollment during high school plus 4 years after high school just to earn my Associates Degree for Transfer. Entering community college after high school was intimidating, and I felt very overwhelmed. As I have continued getting my degree, I have consistently wished there was a community that could provide me with further insight as to what to expect being an adult and going to college. Throughout my time in college, I have needed to have a job in order to pay for my education. This has proven to be an obstacle that many colleges do not seem prepared to accommodate. When I would ask guidance counselors about how to do both (work and go to college), many would tell me to take out loans, work only part time, or just don’t go to school at all and figure out how to climb a corporate ladder without a degree. During this time, I was also entering adulthood, which had its own obstacles that no one ever seemed to discuss. When I would try to look up answers or figure things out on my own, it felt like trying to find a needle in a haystack.

The goal of this site is to motivate, inspire, and help anyone who may be in a similar situation. It is possible to achieve your goals, whatever they may be. I try to incorporate resources or statistical figures when I can find them, but some of the information provided may be from my own experience. Because of this, I encourage all readers to further fact check and investigate what works best for their own lives and situations. I am not an expert in any field and these posts are merely my opinions based on my experiences. I am always open to suggestions, feedback, and recommendations. I wish you the best in all your endeavors and happy adulting!
